How do you keep your creativity flowing?

I call it the 4 Cs, or super squared Cs. 1. Content consumption 2. Community outreach 3. Collaboration with others 4. Curiosity When you start stacking these on top of each other you get the best content for the right audience in a short amount of time!

Exposure is key. Collect the good stuff as you go; even if you're not sure yet how you intend to use it. Keep a good file system on paper or digitally. As you expose yourself to content, the dots will begin to line up and you'll know "this is what I must write about."

How would I find different sources of information and inspiration? Well, stop making it a big deal. All you need to do is go for a walk. Cheers!

La créativité nécessite un terrain propice pour na?tre et se développer. Cela démarre par enlever le stress, le bruit, la précipitation et la surcharge mentale. J'ai découvert mes idées et ma créativité lors du silence d? au... covid. Quand je cours, les idées ne viennent pas. Mais aujourd'hui, je sais quoi faire pour les faire venir : m'arrêter et prendre le temps pour faire du bien à ma tête. Renouer avec le plaisir fait revenir les idées!

Format experimentation keeps the juices flowing and the creativity exciting. But you have to put the vanity numbers aside. Not all formats are going to be viral hits on every platform. But they'll build a body of work across mediums that speak to your strengths, credibility and trust. My rule of thumb is for every 20 posts I write on LinkedIn, I'll put a little more effort and create an article. Of those 20 posts, a few will be stories, others will be a photo or video with a written message, while a few are light hearted and showcase my personality; but all are thread by a common denominator. I run everything through my own personal lens.

Mastermind groups are very popular. For me, bouncing around ideas is incredibly powerful. I have trusted colleagues and friends who are similarly open and when we're running low on ideas, we'll agree on a topic, take a white board, and just start throwing out unfiltered ideas. No idea is too silly. Just go. We do it for five minutes. Afterward we put more thought into what came out, coalesce what makes sense with what, and almost immediately the stories will almost fall off the white board into our laps.

Absolutely love conversations with other creatives. Always open to fresh ideas. Bounce off each other and fires me up. Actually, I love creative conversations with anybody. Fueled by ideas and a "lets do it" approach. And let's do it together is the cherry on the top.

Là, je sais que la séance aura été utile! Souvent, les participants sont surpris eux-mêmes par des idées qu'ils produisent. C'est ?a l'intelligence collective!

J'ai la chance d'avoir un ami qui génère un nombre d'idées incalculables en permanence. Je l'appelle, j'écoute, je note, je trie et je me sens plus riche.

Write down the best guess atva solution. Leave it. Let it develop in the background while you do something else. Take a break, go to the places that inspire. Come back, write next best guess and so on. When you are ready, the idea will be much more figured out.

Quand je bloque, quand je n'ai plus d'idées, je formule la question à laquelle je cherche une réponse. Concrètement, je me dis dans la tête que je cherche la réponse à la question "......" Et puis, je passe à autre chose. Je laisse ainsi le cerveau faire des connexions neuronales nécessaires. Et ce n'est pas tout! En formulant la question, je suis beaucoup plus attentive aux réponses qui viennent "toutes seules" : une conversation anodine, un article, une info/un reportage à la TV, etc C'est comme ci, les réponses venaient à moi car j'étais prête à les entendre (puisque j'ai formulé ma question). C'est presque magique... :)

Taking a break is absolutely key. I'd go beyond stepping away from your computer and the platforms you write on. I'd say when your creativity is low, don't force it. Take a day or two off and give yourself the time to ponder what other ideas can help you build your brand and build trust with your audience. My recommendation is promise yourself you'll post on particular days, when you're feeling really creative use the scheduling option available on LinkedIn to schedule the posts on the days you're committed to. The in-betweens are bonus. From my experience those bonus posts end up being the most well-received because there's no pressure. I'm writing for the love of writing.

Learn and take notes. Learn and take notes. Take notes and share. Take notes and share. Don't feel like you need to summarize an entire course in 2,000 characters. Find mini-lessons you can share with your audience. Sometimes they'll lead to incredible engagement in your comments section.

J'adore l'exercice "l'immersion dans un monde différent". L'idée ici est d'aller à la rencontre des gens passionnés qui font un travail complètement différent du mien. En les interrogeant, je peux découvrir ce qui les anime et pourquoi, comment ils font leur job, quelles sont leurs joies et leurs problématiques quotidiennes. Je découvre leurs valeurs. J'élargis ma vision du monde. J'en ressors toujours émerveillée de découvrir ce qui anime les gens (et souvent c'est "faire bien mon job"!). C'est positif, optimiste, joyeux, honnête ET ?a ravive ma propre flamme! Merci à eux!

Je m'impose d'apprendre au moins une chose par jour, par différents canaux, vidéos, podcasts... Il fait choisir le sujet et chercher la réponse, pas scroller au hasard d'une bonne rencontre.

Relire ses notes régulièrement, se rappeler ce qu'on avait oublié, et repenser leur pertinence. Les nouvelles idées viennent souvent des anciennes.

Review as much as you can but don't review so much you become paralyzed by the fear of making a mistake. I'd rather share a genuine thought than wait until the post is perfect. I'm not perfect. Mistakes are simply part of the human condition. If you've developed a strong relationship with your audience, some will be kind enough to DM you and let you know where the grammar mistakes or typos are. the edit button is your friend.

Be consistent. Being consistent is better than being the most knowledgeable person in the room. Follow a schedule. Give yourself time in-between posts to reflect and refresh. But be consistent. Social media is notorious for forgetting you. The only way to stay relevant is to stay consistent.

Always ask your prospects and clients to chime in with their input. "What's your biggest question about _______?" "What's your biggest _______ challenge?" "What's your top _______ priority?" If you host live or virtual events, ask on the registration forms and at the event themselves. If you offer gated content, ask on those forms as well. Run polls and surveys. Ask in your conservations. But most of all: ask your prospects and clients to tell you in THEIR own words where you need to focus next. (Their consensus becomes your top content creation inspiration!)
