How do you join online startup communities?

When looking for communities... I start by searching Google for: "My business field" + "reddit" After posting on there I ask the question to the group: What other groups online should I join?

I've found that attending targeted and industry-specific Startup Programs is key. These initiatives not only offer invaluable learning experiences but also connect you with like-minded individuals who share your passion and values. Defining your niche becomes the catalyst for meaningful engagement within these communities, providing a common ground for collaboration, mentorship, and shared experiences. One thing I have found very useful is that it's always beneficial to go ahead with 'Give First" approach in any community. In the beginning it can be as small as commenting with appreciation if you found something useful and start posting valuable content as you grow in your knowledge. Always give first before putting any ask. This will ensure that you are respected in that community and soon active members of the community will start recognizing your name and efforts.
