For everyone who don't know - The ADR is Automated dialogue replacement - to improve the sound quality of an actor’s dialogue after filming wraps. In my experience you need specific detail of the scene you wanted to re-record and it would be very helpful if you have the footage ready of that scene.

You need quite room with minimum reverb/echo with acoustic panels covering the walls. If it’s in your budget, you can also rent a recording studio that is already set up for ADR. Ideal it is best to hire a studio for the short term project.

One of the keys to a good match between the production audio and the studio audio is to attempt to replicate the production audio conditions in the studio as closely as possible. It’s very important for the production sound mixer and the ADR studio to match microphones that is used on set. In Post-Production you would definitely need the dummy sound that is recorded on set, to match the exact levels of foley, sfx, music and new ADR.

The last tip is to review and revise your ADR and sound mix, and make sure it meets the expectations and goals of the project.
