In my experience user feedback has also helped to identify bugs that were missed by the engineering team that could of caused issues for other users in production environments.

There are many methods and tools to collect user feedback, depending on your goals, resources, and stage of development. Surveys are questionnaires that can be used to gather quantitative or qualitative data from a large number of users. Interviews are one-on-one conversations that can be used to explore user needs, problems, motivations, or emotions. Usability tests are experiments that can evaluate how well users can complete tasks using a product. Analytics are data that can be used to track and measure how users interact with a product. Online tools like Google Forms, SurveyMonkey, Typeform, UserTesting, Lookback, Hotjar, Google Analytics, Mixpanel, and Amplitude can help with creating surveys, conducting interviews and usability tests, and collecting and analyzing analytics.

Using Hotjar is an excellent idea. The user doesn't have to fill out lengthy forms and the product team doesn't have to ask anything from the user. With its heat map feature, we can see at all times where our users spend most of their time and where they click the most. In this way, we can start implementing A/B tests to gradually adapt the interface to what the majority expects.
