We are in a phase where we just don't quite know how to tackle this problem. My recommendations to my coachees at this stage is - be a part of the group that defines the problem. The easiest way is to create a Sustainability Employee Resource Group (ERG) and start to take this huge amorphous problem and understand how your specific company can make an impact. Very few in the leadership assessment space have yet to formalize "competencies" in sustainability. So it is a bit of an unfair ask to try to embed it in talent management at this stage. The best one can do is assess how willing (motivated) and employee is to tackle this problem. Get a bunch of motivated folks together with a common mission and then we'll see results.
