A key challenge for many organizations is to get clarity about the potential AI really brings to their organization. Before you even start to go deeper down the AI path: ask yourself a couple of key questions: Do you really understand what AI can do? Do you at least basically understand how AI “does things”? Are the business challenges you are trying to address really AI challenges or would another, less resource intensive solution do the trick? And do it potentially even better? Leadership must gain a solid understanding of AI and building out the skills in the organization to match and marry business challenges with the solution that potentially best solves the tasks at hand. Critical thinking right is required to avoid pitfalls.
