From my experience, game developers often hesitate to ask for help. As leaders, it's our responsibility to build a culture where team members naturally offer assistance to one another. This starts with well organized task boards that make it easy to spot when someone is struggling. Ending standups by asking if anyone needs help or support is also crucial. Encouraging pair programming for tackling complex problems can be incredibly effective. Additionally, Try rotating tasks among team members can provide a much needed change of pace, keeping the team refreshed and energized as they work towards major deliverables.

Often, celebrations are overlooked, and this became even more obvious post-COVID due to the shift to remote work a transition I believe we haven’t fully adapted to. One way to ensure we take time to celebrate specific achievements is by having a clear “Definition of Done” (DOD) for each milestone. Without a clear DOD, even when a milestone is reached, it may feel like the work is still ongoing. This can cause the team to perpetually be in “production mode,” always looking ahead to the next task without pausing to recognize and celebrate accomplishments.

Calm down, one mistake can make you bankrupt, bad mathematics or bug can kill the business.. better later than sorry! Can always inform about postponed deadline.
