Goal alignment also boosts employee engagement, motivation, and satisfaction, as they can see how their work contributes to the bigger picture.
Alignment on goal steers the boat in the same direction. There are 2 challenges in big organizations: 1/ Too many goals - it creates confusion spreading resources too thin - everyone is steering in a different direction Solution: - ask: what's the definition of success? - delete the goals not in line with the definition - pick the number 1 goal 2/ Consuing KPIs with goals - people aim to reach KPIs - but KPIs do not guarantee reaching goals Solution: - list all KPIs - choose 1-5 that make real impact on the n.1 goal - delete the rest KPI = key path indicators KPIs are not goals

In my opinion, the best way to foster a culture of time management: respect meeting times! This sets the tone for the team & fosters focus, efficiency, builds trust and work-life balance. If a meeting is 30 minutes, make sure to start wrapping up at :28. Send an agenda before to maximize time. Bonus points: start using the 25-minute meeting so people can take a break between syncs.
Set boundaries and learn to sat no to meetings, tasks, that don’t align with your day’s priorities. It’s best to respectfully decline any added tasks rather than take them on. By all means, find other gaps in your diary to schedule ‘said’ additional tasks.

Establish and track key performance indicators, such as quality, quantity, timeliness, efficiency, and customer satisfaction, that reflect your goals and objectives. Additionally, conduct regular and systematic reviews and audits, such as surveys, interviews, or observations, to assess your team's time management skills, behaviors, and outcomes. Identify and analyze your strengths and weaknesses, opportunities and threats, and gaps and areas for improvement, and develop and implement action plans to address them.
