One thing that should be considered is where email is being received we always tell employees not to use public Wi-Fi but the most common email client tends to be on mobile devices so prone to man in the middle attacks. Obviously all bets are off for encryption at this point

Enforcement of tls is a good thing but it can be a challenge if your business deals with email in a b2c environment as customers don’t think about the security of their email provider. For example until very recently BT email did not support TLS
