If you were too serious during your presentation. It will be weird for you to want to bring in humor at the end of the conversation. It is important to always bring in humor not just at the end of a presentation but during the presentation. This is very important in very long presentations as the audience starts losing concentration, So humor helps them relax. As an example, I have seen people ending with a cartoon image of the topic they are presenting on.
