People are usually busy and they want to finish reading the reports and summaries quickly and don't want to miss any single point. That's why the clear and concise writing is very important.

In my opinion if you're writing something, you should give equal importance for revising and editing. I always prefer to revise or edit my content next day. I also try to re-read it from different devices. It helps me to identify more errors if any.
