1 Access the style manager

The first step is to access the style manager from the QGIS main menu. Go to Settings > Style Manager and you will see a window with four tabs: Symbols, Color Ramp, Text Format, and Label Settings. Each tab contains a list of predefined styles for different types of features. You can select any style from the list and preview it on the right panel.

I find the best method for me is to create a few templates. Change the default style globally for the project from Project -->Properties and then choose 'Styles' and make your style changes here. Then go to Projects -->Save to and Choose 'Template'. Now you can choose this template fom Project -->New from Template, then choose your template that you just created. If you need to change individual styles in the template, just follow the 2 - 6 steps below.

2 Edit the style properties

The second step is to edit the style properties according to your needs. You can either modify an existing style or create a new one from scratch. To modify an existing style, double-click on it and you will see a dialog box with various options to change the appearance of your feature. For example, if you want to change the color of a point symbol, you can click on the color button and choose a different hue from the color picker. You can also adjust the size, rotation, offset, and opacity of your symbol. To create a new style, click on the plus button at the bottom of the list and give it a name. Then you can choose a symbol type from the drop-down menu and customize it as you wish.

3 Save the style as default

The third step is to save the style as default for your feature type. This means that whenever you add a new layer of that type to your project, it will automatically use the style you saved. To do this, you need to right-click on the style name and select Save as Default from the context menu. You can also set a default style for a specific layer by right-clicking on the layer name in the Layers panel and selecting Properties > Symbology > Style > Save as Default.

After making changes to the style properties, you can save the style as the default for the layer. To do this: Click on the "Style" dropdown menu in the Layer Properties dialog. Select "Save Style..." option. Choose the "Use as default style for new features" checkbox. Click "OK" to save the style as the default for the layer.

4 Export and import styles

The fourth step is to export and import styles if you want to share them with others or use them in different projects. You can export a style as a QGIS Layer Style File (.qml) or a Symbology Style Library (.xml) by right-clicking on the style name and selecting Export. You can then save the file to a location of your choice. To import a style, you need to click on the import button at the bottom of the list and browse to the file you want to load. You can then select the styles you want to import and click OK.

If you want to use the same style across multiple layers or share it with others, you can export the style to a file and import it into other projects or layers. To export/import styles: In the style manager, click on the "Style" dropdown menu. Select "Save Style..." to export the style or "Load Style..." to import a style.

5 Organize and manage styles

The fifth step is to organize and manage your styles to keep them tidy and easy to find. You can create folders and subfolders to group your styles by theme, category, or project. To create a folder, right-click on an empty space in the list and select Add Folder. You can then drag and drop your styles into the folder. You can also rename, delete, or duplicate your styles by right-clicking on them and choosing the appropriate option from the context menu.

é possível salvar o estilo dentro do geopackage, eu acho mais prático e funcional dessa forma (tudo salvo em um só arquivo). Basta ir nas propriedades da camada - simbologia - salvar estilo. Em salvar estilo, escolher "Banco de dados da fonte de dados" ("In datasource database"), escolher um nome para o estilo e clicar em salvar.

6 Apply styles to features

The final step is to apply your styles to your features to make them look more attractive and informative. You can do this by selecting a layer in the Layers panel and clicking on the style button in the toolbar. You will see a list of styles that match your layer type. You can choose any style from the list and click Apply. You can also change the style of individual features by using the Select Features tool and clicking on the feature you want to modify. Then you can go to the Attributes Table and change the value of the style field.

é possível, editar o estilo posteriormente e voltar a salva-lo, caso necessite, com outro nome ou susbtituindo o estilo que existia anteriomente. Ajuda na produtividade do trabalho.
