I believe the following points should be taken into consideration while focusing on the effectiveness of assessments, and feedback. 1. Clear Learning Objectives: Defining specific goals at the start to align assessments and feedback with students’ expected achievements. 2. Varied Assessment Methods: Utilizing diverse evaluation approaches, such as tests, projects, and quizzes, for a comprehensive view of students’ abilities. 3. Consistency in Grading: Establishing uniform grading criteria to maintain fairness and objectivity in evaluations. 4. Quality Feedback, and feedforward: Providing constructive and specific feedback to help students understand their strengths and areas for improvement.
Different ways of measuring the reliability of an assessment or feedback method exist, depending on the type and purpose of the evaluation. For example, test-retest reliability involves administering the same test to the same group of students at two different points in time, and comparing the results to measure the stability of the test over time and any external factors which may have impacted performance. Parallel-forms reliability involves administering two different but equivalent versions of the same test to measure equivalence of test items and consistency of difficulty. Internal consistency reliability analyses consistency of items within a test and how well they measure the same construct or skill. Lastly, inter-rater reliability compares ratings or feedback given by two or more independent evaluators to measure objectivity and accuracy of evaluators and clarity of criteria.

It's necessary to also determine your sample size and sampling strategy, collect and organize your data using appropriate techniques and procedures, analyze your data using statistical methods and software to calculate reliability coefficients. When this is complete, report your findings using clear language and visuals to communicate results and conclusions, implement recommendations with action plans to address issues identified, and monitor progress with feedback loops and indicators to track the effects of your actions.
