1 What is speech recognition?

Speech recognition is the process of converting spoken words into text or commands that can be understood by a computer. It is a complex and multidisciplinary problem that involves aspects such as acoustics, linguistics, machine learning, and signal processing. Speech recognition systems typically consist of three main components: a feature extractor, an acoustic model, and a language model.
