How do you deal with ambiguous, incomplete, or conflicting requirements during test execution?

Ambiguous, Incomplete or Conflicting requirements are dealt by Communicating for the Clarification with the Stakeholders. Once the requirements are clarified after the change request, We modify the test cases and Initiate the Test Execution.

I would add the impact on defect management - ambiguous/conflicting requirements present the risk that bugs could be raised where the behaviour conflicts with the tester's interpretation of the requirement, and are then challenged by the developer, resulting in lost time, the possibility of misleading information being passed to stakeholders and damage to the tester/developer relationship

- In addition, it's highly likely that any one cause of sub-optimal requirements will apply to other requirements on the same project, so I would recommend checking all linked requirements at the same time, to flush out as many issues as possible and make resolving these more efficient - Whilst you will need to clearly state the problems you have identified, you should also be diplomatic when raising these; always keep in mind the possibility that the problems may be due to an error in understanding rather than to actual mistakes, and the need to preserve and enhance relationships with stakeholders and system users

The above is true, but it would be greatly preferable to identify these issues as early as possible, as part of a 'shift left' ethos - the sooner problems are found, the quicker and cheaper they are to fix. To this end, I would suggest making sure that testers are involved in the requirements gathering and discussion phase - we can provide a focus on clarity, consistency and business value which can significantly improve the requirements at the outset
