I absolutely agree. I plan my week out the Friday prior. I’ll prioritize my tasks, meetings, etc. Being able to “cross items” off of my list is a big deal for my line of work. Quite often, I find that I need to realign my priorities due to unforeseen circumstances, but that’s ok. I find this much easier to maintain in my own remote environment.

Unfortunately not every day turns out perfect to be set in a strict routine. If you can start your day with exercise and get the big task out of the way before lunch. Great. But its a matter of being mindful of when you work your best and when you start to feel yourself tail off, change it up. Get yourself up, do a quick house chore for example. Re-calibrate and get back at it.

We meet weekly via Teams, but check in either via email or text daily, if not hourly. We meet in person once a month or more. I rarely feel disconnected from my immediate team & have joined company sponsored DEI focused groups, events, & offerings.
