This step will help you understand which are the 2 or 3 activities that move the needle. In an LCA I'm working on now for a client - it really comes down to a couple of materials (with steel as their base) - for these, we then dug deep and actually found emissions specific to the steel plant in which they were manufactured. So yes no easy answers, but the phased approach has helped me in the past!
