1 What is SNMP and how does it work?

5 What are the benefits and challenges of using SNMP?

Using SNMP for network monitoring and management offers many advantages, such as being a standard protocol that works with different types and vendors of network devices, and being simple, flexible, efficient, and scalable. However, it also has some drawbacks. SNMP is not very secure, especially the older versions, and does not guarantee delivery or acknowledgment of messages.
