Be timely, decisive, and swift with good news or bad news. Too many times I see leaders/teams/companies stall, deliberate too long, "waffle" back and forth. I am not sayinng rushing or being wreckless, because often there is much to think through across stakeholders and consequences -- but aim to be swift. Even if bringing out a bit of the 'news' to start, and then follow up with more details later. It shows you are aware and "on it" and striving for comms to those who need to be informed...
