Surprised that iterative nature is not highlighted here. Iterations are fundamental to modelling. 1. Initial models are rarely optimal - Iterations allow systematically improving models. 2. More iterations lead to better models - Each cycle further tunes and optimizes models through tweaks and enhancements. It is important to note that some data pipelines do not need data deployment as described here. There's plenty of compute outside the web. Some situations call for the acquisition of large amounts of data to train and develop an algorithm that will be implemented in hardware or firmware, or in other situations where the model does not need to be updated frequently.

More and more it is important that we look into the environmental footprint of the data pipelines that we build.
