You can ensure consistency of results in heuristic analyses by using the standard Nielsen heuristics as the basis of your evaluation. It’s good to remember that this method is used as a way to catch low hanging fruit, and as a basis for fixing things prior to running usability tests. It can be done iteratively but it is just one part of the user centered design process.
