It's nice to think of your users as personas. Here's a quick tip for planning a recruitment for user testing your product. Break down users into three components: requirements, demographics, and technographics. Requirements are things ever user will need to have in order to participate. Demographics are details about the user like location, age, family status, income, etc. Technographics are devices, systems, or technology that users own or use.

If you already have a problem to solve then ideally you have defined a consumer for it. Which means that you have established the Jobs to be done framework that allows you to have more clarity on your consumer pain points and what alternatives they are currently using. Next steps are critical. 1) Define the Psychographics of your target consumers 2) Understand who has the purchase decision (Buyer) vs the user (Consumer). 3) Define their consumer journey to buy, use and dispose of your product 4) Define based on the previous 3 information's the most likely demographics of your consumers 5) Refine your Persona with the 4 above information 6) pick 10 people who fit this persona and validate your assumptions with Ethnographic research
