This is where timing is difficult - when capacity is a bottleneck you have almost left it too late. How long will it take to scale up! We saw tis in Covid people responded to increasing post Covid demand but by the time they added capacity demand had failed. You need to understand the demand - how long will it be there - are you better to manage short term demand spikes through overtime / small incremental investments rather than larger scale investments which might reduce margin and only have an ROI is demand is there waiting for you..... scenario planning is key here.
