It can be more visually appealing if images,graphs,charts contain a color scheme similar to your branding(as long as it does not affect legibility of the data. My recommendation for the representations is to try not to abuse an excess of colors and also to take advantage of the shapes. This is because at a certain amount of colors, it can become uncomfortable to distinguish one from another. To this we must add people with problems such as color blindness. For example, in data graphs, instead of using points with different colors for each series, we can use different shapes, circles, squares, triangles, stars, etc. We can also change the solid lines to dashed, dotted, etc.
