Review your current niche and ask if you are you still passionate about it? Does the niche complement your current network and efforts? Are you intimately familiar with the pain points of the niche? Are you able to support those pain points? Are there enough potential clients in your locale in this niche to support your business? If you answered yes, then great, keep doing what you are doing. If you answered "yes, but..." or "no", then keep asking difficult questions as if you are coaching yourself.

You can also look to your network and connections in your industry or field, as well as market trends, gaps, and demands. Once you have a list of potential niches, evaluate them according to criteria such as alignment with your vision and mission; attractiveness to your ideal client; profitability and sustainability; uniqueness; and passion and confidence.

Attend networking events and speak with business owners outside of your niche. Ask them great questions that allow them to share openly while giving you insight into potential gaps and pain points. Are these areas that you can assist? Are these areas that you can master and become THE go-to niche coach?
