Based on real quality assurance specialist resumes, 58.3% of quality assurance specialists have a bachelor's degree. Regarding higher education levels, 10.4% of quality assurance specialists have master's degrees. Even though most quality assurance specialists have a college degree, it's possible to become one with only a high school degree or GED. Selecting the appropriate major is an important step in becoming a quality assurance specialist. Data from quality assurance specialist resumes shows that the most common majors include business, biology, and psychology.

As an assurance specialist, you need to have strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills. One can become an Assurance specialist by obtaining the required professional knowledge (eg offered by ICAN in Nigeria) and relevant years of experience with an Assurance firm. Mandatory continious professional development (MCPD) is necessary to keep up-to-date with latest developments in the field, so as to always deliver quality services to the client while upholding the interest of the public.
