I found our office runs on coffee. If the coffee is out, the employees are angry. I try to purchase paper and ink on sale. We purchase remanufactured in cartridges often. I try to print in black only. I email as many invoices as our customers will let us. Some of our customers are in their 70s and love the paper trail. I generally purchase pens and pencils when they are on sale or clearance. Utilities are hard to cut back on. In the winter, I have the furnace set about 68. Travel is hard to track but we picked one brand of hotels, got their credit card and look for specials when we travel. The last travel was 10 days and we racked up 6 free nights, so far. We have not received the statement yet.

We do not use disposable plates, cups, or silverware unless it is part of a take out order. I save the salt and pepper packages and empty them in salt and pepper shakers. We shred our paper and recycle it in the recycling so no information is leaked. We use used envelopes to write notes on. We write on the back of printed paper or print on the back of it. I try to email invoices vs mailing them. I also use coupons at the store, buy from the clearance area or buy on sale. I shop for the best prices online so I don't have to go to six stores. We buy gas at Costco or Sam's Club for the best discounts.

I live in metro Detroit. Our industry is installing security equipment. We have to use trucks or vans to go to the customer's sites. One can not put a 14 ft ladder on a bus. I will not buy an EV at this point either. It is too cold in the winter to deal with another dead battery. I buy recycled ink cartridges but spending a lot more for recycled paper is not in my budget. If it is on sale or less than regular paper, I will purchase it.
