In my experience working as an IBDP business management educator in Singapore, my teaching resources closely align with the latest subject guide and incorporate engaging, relevant activities (online and offline) to scaffold learning efficiently for my students. Working with brilliant students in the top IB school in Singapore fuels me with inspiration to work hard to improve my teaching resources continuously. I do this to achieve not only learning outcomes, but for my students to take away meaningful insights and life-changing paradigm shifts from their lessons.

Regarding alignment, it is important to consider if the resources match your learning objectives, outcomes, and assessments. Impact questions should focus on how the resources affect student learning and performance. Motivation queries should explore how the resources engage and inspire students. Lastly, suitability questions look into if the resources are appropriate for the context and audience, reflect diversity and culture, address student needs and preferences, and comply with ethical and legal standards.

As a Chief Learning Officer rather than the AIMS approach, I developed and continue to use the RCAABUT approach to gather and assess teaching resources at the individual level and the library acquisition process. Research- Explore various types of resources on a topic by topic basis. Curate - Put together the discoveries Authenticate - Check with peers/other experts Acquire: This can include library access, outright purchase or e access Build: Incorporate these resources topic by topic into the respective course syllabi Track - Develop metrics to track usefulness of these resources to students learning and experience The RCAABUT process is useful for both identifying useful teaching resources and library acquisition processes.
