1 What are master pages?

Master pages are templates that contain the common elements that you want to appear on every page or a group of pages, such as headers, footers, page numbers, logos, or backgrounds. You can create multiple master pages for different sections or styles of your document, and apply them to the pages you want. Master pages are stored in the Pages panel, and have a prefix letter (such as A, B, or C) followed by a name.

To apply a master page to a page or a range of pages, you need to drag the master page thumbnail from the Pages panel to the page thumbnail or the page numbers in the panel. Simply Navigate to the master page - For Mac Users Hold CMD and Shift Key then select the item to edit or delete -For Windows Users Hold Crl and Shift Key then click on the item.

4 How to override master pages?

Sometimes, you may want to modify or delete an element from a master page on a specific page, without affecting the other pages that use the same master page. This is called overriding a master page. To override a master page element, you need to hold down Ctrl+Shift (Windows) or Command+Shift (Mac) and click on the element on the page. This will release the element from the master page and make it editable on the page. You can then move, resize, delete, or change the element as you wish.
