Is clearly defined mission statement and core values are imperative to fully be able to build and test in the lean methodology — everything else is a presumption, assumption, potential pivot or theory. But in life as in business it’s important to be principled and this is the foundation every successful business is built on.

Don’t be too married to your thesis; in other words be open to being wrong. Far too often people build solutions that aren’t widely needed or understood because they can’t see or won’t admit that their initial premise was flawed or incorrect.
