It's always a good practice to define your research question in terms of null and alternative hypotheses, so your job "if you accept to do it"; is to test the null whether it is true or false. you will need to use the appropriate statistical test for testing the level of significance of your findings, whether it is up to your cut-off point of 95% significance, and the probability of error due to chance is less than 5%. also, phrase question terms of PICO, by doing so, you identify easily the comparison variables which you can test for differences between groups after these two steps, you will have a near clear vision of which statistical test you will need to use; and the statistical plan you will follow to answer your research question

Establish the scope and depth of your project and avoid unnecessary research. Contribute to your research design and choose the most appropriate methods and tools for your data collection and analysis. Indicate how your project will contribute to existing knowledge and address a gap or problem in your field of study. Your research question should be open-ended and ask what, why, or how questions about a given topic. Your research objectives should be SMART (Specific, Measurable, Achievable, Relevant, and Time-bound) and coupled with the hypothesis of the study. Your research aim should be a broad statement indicating the general purpose of your research project.

The next step is to select the data sources and methods that are relevant, reliable, and appropriate for your research question and objectives. Depending on the type, scope, and availability of your data, you may use primary or secondary data sources, or a combination of both. Secondary data sources are those that are collected by others, such as reports, publications, or databases. You may also use qualitative or quantitative data methods, or a mix of both. When using scales as the tools for collecting data, it is important to ensure that the language of the metrics are adapted in line with the community that you target and ensures inclusivity. Otherwise, the scales may create a barrier in active participation and reflections of individuals from minority communities.
