To make your video scripts stand out, start with a compelling hook to grab attention. Keep the language dynamic and engaging, using vivid imagery and active verbs. Structure your script with a clear storyline or message, and don't forget to inject some personality to connect with your audience. Lastly, polish it up with crisp editing and visuals to make it visually stimulating.

I've said this before - but the #1 variable in any piece of copy is the level of awareness they have about you, your brand, and your offer. If you have a colder audience, you'll need to speak more about the future state and result you're achieving and the feelings the prospect has currently in depth before even pitching your offer. The opposite is true for warm/hot traffic - you just need to get to the "details" and support your claims with overwhelming proof, and then overcome their objections one-by-one.

Always read out loud as you write. It may look amazing on the paper but sound like total nonsense. So, make sure your text sounds well. Also, if you are not the person who will be on the video, leave comments and hints like "Here, make a pause".

Writing copy is so fun because it's not about what you say - it's what you communicate. Great copy should feel like it is written / said JUST for that specific viewer or reader. No one else. This is accomplished by (obviously?) having an in-depth understanding of your avatar/ICP - but also communicating like a human would to a friend of theirs. Using tools like the Hemingway editor can "grade" your complexity and challenge you to get simpler with your writing - ideally <7th grade reading level :)

Capture attention with a compelling hook within the first few seconds of the video —humour, suspense, or intrigue works wonders. (Take it from a TikTok addict) Then build interest by showcasing unique selling points and addressing your viewer’s needs through storytelling. Show how your brand can solve their problems or improve their life. Create desire by painting a vivid picture of transformative outcomes and offering testimonials. Get creative, you want a huge transformation, not a lukewarm one. Finally prompt action with strong CTAs and make it easy for viewers to act – make it clear what the next step is. Infuse creativity, authenticity, and personality and keep the video concise. (This will also help with social media algorithms)

AIDA has been around forever, and it's certainly an effective Framework. When I'm writing VSL scripts, I use a modified PAS (problem agitate solution) framework. Feel Felt Found Find Feel: This is where you empathize with whomever your engaging with and make them feel HEARD. Don't read their minds, read their hearts ??. (Problem / Agitate) Felt: Be vulnerable and share how you (or a similar customer) felt and what your struggled with. Here you're showing you've been there, too. Found: You get to start to illuminate the "yellow brick road" that's going to offer the escape from your customer's current circumstances. (Future) Find: This is where you show/tell your prospect how you can help them find that same success, too. (Solution).
