A learning management system (LMS) is especially helpful if you want to engage your mentee with their peers through different kinds of activities and at the same time keep every engagement on the same platform. It can also lower the learning curve for your mentee and their peers in comparison to using different platforms for different engagement plans. An LMS normally offers different activities and integration to many other platforms making it easy to onboard and interact with the mentee or their peers.

To foster creativity in our mentees, we need to make sure they understand and apply two important elements. First, what we understand by creativity, something that has been proved to be not so easy. Is it "little C", the one used in daily problem solving? Is it "mini C", the one associated to learning? Is it "pro C", the professional one that becomes a source of income/prestige? Is it "big C". the one that creates something completely new? Or perhaps, more than one of them? Second, what is involved in creativity: an ability whose degree varies in individuals, a disposition to be creative, and a process to go from thought to practice. In my opinion, we need to help mentees clarify these two elements before using technology to foster it.
