To make the most of your sprint planning, you need to prepare some inputs and outputs before, during, and after the meeting. Before the meeting, the product owner should review and refine the product backlog, prioritizing items based on their business value and user needs. The development team should also review the backlog and clarify any doubts or assumptions with the product owner. During the meeting, the product owner should present the product backlog and sprint goal while the development team should ask questions, provide feedback, estimate effort and complexity using a technique such as planning poker, select items they can commit to deliver within the sprint, create tasks for each item with acceptance criteria and a definition of done. Afterward, the product owner should update and communicate the product backlog and sprint goal to stakeholders while the development team should update and communicate the sprint backlog and task board to Scrum master and product owner. They should also start working on tasks according to the sprint plan.
