In my experience of working with an AI company, we had MVP of our AI tool ready along with a sizable waitlist already in place so we decided to provide early access to around 25K users. Down the line, we realized that to truly understand user sentiments and iterate effectively we need user feedback, so we incorporated a pop-up feature to gather feedback seamlessly using Likert scale questions that got triggered after 2 minutes of using the application, to collect both quantitative insights and qualitative insights. Prototypes are usually used in a Product context. However, I've recently been working on strategy prototypes which are more like solutions to a problem. To test this prototype, a hypothesis needs to be formed by identifying root causes which are causing the problem. A prototype would be to formulate an execution strategy which are solving for those root causes. Executing your solution as a pilot in representative sample would work as a prototype, enabling reliable enough feedback pointers. This would help make adjustments and deploy your strategy at scale with a higher degree of confidence.
