Product Design Engineers should work directly with the Operations and Quality Teams as part of the product development process. While the customer defines what the product needs to do, Operations and Quality Teams need to define - or at least influence - HOW it is made in a production setting.

Been an expert on all the elements that involves a product is not a must but be open to been helped and supported when necessary yes. Each element on it has to add something intogether with the rest of the elements, an easy technic used is to really understand what the function as individual is per each part, otherwise a combination of them will not be possible.

One of biggest erros I've seen working with many customers and suppliers is the dismiss of the tolerance stack analysis, how can an element work correctly with others if they weren't created to work properly in the border of their specification?, with that all availables tools, such as CAD, FEA, etc. will provide support enough.

Everything can be improved but sometimes improving someting is not reilable. When looking for a better performance of products many tools will be helpful enough if input data is the proper one, record trustable data is the very 1st step on improving anything.

There're many technologies in the modern era to make prototyping easier to do, this steps requires to be the closest to the series production talking about materials, normal variation and manufacturing methods, any external noise introduced will lead to untrustable results.

A Product Engineer must consider few below points while designing a product assembly : 1) Ensure there are no fasteners & other connecting elements in the product assembly & the parts must be designed in such a way. 2) Always prefer assembly of the product with fewer parts so that it ease the assembling process. 3) It will be better if there is a commonization of parts so that they can be used in other product assembly.This will reduce additional part manufacturing cost. 4) If the volume of the products are lower then process such as friction welding,ultrasonic welding etc. should be preferred 5) Always consider design tools such as DFMEA,PFMEA,DFM & DFA during product design phase

Posteriormente para colher pontos que precisem ser ajustados do produto 4- Defini??o e Segmenta??o do mercado alvo

Easier assembly isn’t the goal; customers don’t care and won’t pay more for easier assembly. The goal is less manufacturing cost in the finished product because that comes right out of profit. Unfortunately, most companies don’t know their real assembly cost. This must include cost-of-poor-quality, e.g. scrap and rework costs, which generally go up with assembly complexity. All to often, changes to reduce assembly complexity increase material cost. If a company doesn’t properly account for the cost of assembly complexity — including scrap and rework costs — then reducing assembly complexity may not “pencil out.” The importance of proper accounting for assembly costs can’t be overstated.
