The best known of all is MTBI. Another tool that can help with self-knowledge for students is the DISC, a famous behavioral profile that shows the person's behavioral tendency and can be associated with studies to improve performance. VARK is a tool that shows how the student perceives the world (visual, auditory, read/write and kinesthetic), which can facilitate learning. Multiple intelligence is also very useful for understanding how a person's cognitive functioning manifests itself.

VARK shows through which sense a person perceives the world best. Of course, just because someone is an auditor, for example, doesn't mean they only have to listen to podcasts to learn. The wider the range of stimuli, the better. The DISC profile and MTBI show what attitudes a person may have towards learning. The profile may be more extroverted and need other people around or the opposite. The interesting thing about these tests is that the person learns where their strengths and weaknesses lie in their studies, better directing their learning. Kr?tzig and Arbuthnott tried to assign learners as either visual, auditory or kinaesthetic learners using two methods. There was <50 per cent agreement between the self-report and the questionnaire. How the students perceive themselves, and how they are categorised objectively doesn't match for the most part, making claims about one's supposed learning style unreliable. In that same paper, the researchers found no correlation between the learning style assigned objectively through the questionnaire and how well learners did on visual or auditory tests. However, this common belief persists: if we cater to a learner’s preferred way of receiving information, learning will be improved. This is the meshing hypothesis.

Learning preference theory is an unproven fad. We learn and prefer to learn by, 1) Trial and error, 2) Mimicry (which includes following instructions from those who learned via trial & error), and 3) Memorization. The only benefit of training is to remove trial and error.

Through these tests, the person gets to know themselves and see the best way to learn, looking for alternatives, adapting the content to make studying easier. To better understand this, there is the possibility of talking to other people with the same profile or even calling an expert to help you understand this. Knowing yourself makes you step out of your comfort zone and seek better ways and methods of studying.

Our personalities can shift over time or in different situations. These tests can't capture the full complexity of human personality. They're tools for reflection, not definitive answers. They shouldn't be the sole basis for major decisions like hiring or promotions. Nonetheless, personality assessments can enhance team dynamics when combined with other methods and human interaction.

Personalities are fluid, personality tests ostensibly measure personalities at a specific time and place. That's not predictive. It's a limitation and a caution.

There are many websites that carry out personality and behavior tests (truity, 16persolaities, mindtools), but I strongly recommend the help of a professional in the field to help direct/better understand behavioral tendencies. It may not be free, but it's more worthwhile for a professional to direct you, making you understand your personality/behavior and how it can help you in your studies than you testing it on your own.
