I would like to add from a design angle, design the lesson activities to circle around the mobile devices. This means the mobile devices is also the content and technology to explore and be studied. This requires designers to consider lesson design from a "being and doing" mindset. For instance, how would an architect use a mobile device when at work and for what purpose will it serve. How does an architect behave...etc This way the use of mobile devices is tied to an identity and professional purpose - making it a scaffold of learning that helps learner construct as well as master the use of devices as a matter of "professionalism" - being (i.e. ontology / ontological perspective). Device use as a mimicry of actual professions at work.

Dr. Ruth Clark in her book "E-Learning and the Science of Instruction" made one point that stuck with me. Adapt technology to the learner and not the learner to technology.
