How can you use improvisation to build trust and solve problems with your team?

= "... activity of making or doing something that you have not planned, using whatever you find." (Cambridge Dictionary) I find improvisation to be one of the most underrated skills of a leaders. Isn't that beautiful?

It is incredibly useful if you have been tackling the same problem over and over again and have been coming with the same solutions over and over again.. that don't work. Exponha-se, sempre, a conteúdos diferentes daqueles com os quais está acostumado. Por exemplo, se você é da área financeira, leia ou assista vídeos sobre jardinagem, cafés ou recursos humanos. Expanda seu repertório, crie novas associa??es de elementos. Estimule sua equipe a fazer o mesmo, mas comece por você. Quanto mais elementos você traz para seus pensamentos, mais criativo, analítico e perspicaz você passa a ser.

I think sometimes there is not much of an option. It is the only way to see advantages in problems. So do the following: *Clarity is key—define issues without bias. *Brainstorm boldly, letting creativity flow unchecked. *Reflect, refine, implement, review --> repeat. When dealing with unforeseen challenges that you haven't experienced yourself, ask yourself: What advantage or benefit can we take out of this problem? Improvising helps you to discover the other side of a coin, in a easy and fun way. Agree?

- Um cenário que acho motivante e desafiador, improvisar quando o problema é critico. Você precisa ter uma frieza muito grande para n?o sair do eixo e fazer uma entrega de valor no seu improviso. Se eu n?o sei a resposta de algo crítico, preciso buscar a informa??o, mas n?o posso perder a confiabilidade, ent?o por que n?o devolver a quest?o, como " me diga como você acha que eu devo resolver este seu problema?" As pessoas tema tendencia de jogar para o outro e esperar respostas, quando você faz ele jogar junto o improviso se torna mais efetivo e busca da resolu??o acontece de forma mais rápida.

Para aplicar a improvisa??o na resolu??o de problemas, n?o aceite as primeiras sugest?es ou solu??es. Nosso cérebro tem a tendência de buscar e confiar naquilo que já é conhecido, ent?o é necessário que você busque alternativas diversas, ou?a pessoas diferentes e crie a partir de ideias diferentes.

Improvise that you are not in your company but attribute different roles to different leaders: one can be the CEO of your biggest competitor (what would they say when they see you struggle with this problem? what would they think on how they would solve it? improvise), your mother looking from the outside in (would she laugh? would she find it funny? would she find solutions very close to home?), and attribute other roles from different perspectives to different leaders. Create personas that they can embody. It will make the improv easier and more useful. (and very funny along the way!)

For improv and adaptability and brainstorming. Try the “Yes and”, the “What’s new? “How would a different person in a different industry do this?”, (name a person everyone knows), “Explain this differently” or to someone that has no experience in this area at all”, Remain calm and no interruptions or outbursts. Listen without defending and be grateful to be challenged.

By continuously doing so! As well as by always starting with 'yes and' - as the answer to the previous person. This enables you to improvise without any blockers or throwing blockers on the way.

None of this works without psychological safety at work. There must be very clear ground rules on what happens at improv and what happens after. Otherwise people won't open up and won't surrender to the exercise and the playfullness of improvisation.
