People may be able to relate the humour with the demonstration. Hence a lot of research needs to be done before using it. A wrong move would effect the entire demonstration negatively.

In my experience, most customers are constantly looking for demos that clearly explain use cases relevant to their industry. For example, demoing a fitness app to the CIO of an FMCG company will have to be way different than explaining it to your internal sales enablement team. Audience is everything!
