I love to use the Strong Interest Inventory assessment with clients because it uses the Holland Code as the foundational framework and then digs deeper and deeper throughout the report identifying careers that may be of interest in the top 3 categories and also in the remaining lower 3 categories. Also, for those interested, the Strong assessment is pretty low cost but you will want to work with someone who knows how to use it. Another resource I found useful - for the creative and unconventional amongst us - is Carol Eikleberry's book The Career Guide for Creative and Unconventional People, which has a LONG list of potential occupations and jobs.
