1 What is HMI?

HMI is not limited to graphical display as usually is appeared on electrical panels, a simple signal lamp which shows power on/off is also a kind of HMI. The art of showing several message using the simplest way is very important.

HMI is a graphic representation of any control process, weather it is a PLC, DCS or SCADA system. Main points to be considered are all control and monitoring data should be evenly distributed. Simple graphics and must be clear and concise. Following the standards also helps. Page linked to each other should be easily accessible. By the way a mobile screen, computer monitors and laptop display are also HMI, which link us to the machine, processing the data.
