1 What is Electron?

Electron is an open-source framework that combines two popular technologies: Node.js and Chromium. Node.js is a runtime environment that allows you to execute JavaScript code outside of a web browser, and Chromium is the engine that powers Google Chrome and other web browsers. 2 How does Electron work?

Electron works by creating two types of processes: the main process and the renderer process. The main process is responsible for managing the application lifecycle, creating and controlling the windows, and communicating with the operating system. The main process runs a Node.js script that can use Electron's APIs and Node.js modules. The renderer process is responsible for rendering the web content in each window. The renderer process runs a web page that can use Electron's APIs and web APIs. 3 How to get started with Electron?

I really care about this part. Today, electron is a "must-redesigned" framework. It creates an amazing environment by giving people a chance to create desktop apps or mobile apps. However, it has a big potential of "memory leak" — which is like your app is always thirsty(memory) and cannot stop drinking from the limited water(RAM limitations of yours) you have. Unfortunately, this is a big problem for complex apps like Steam.
