This means I first extract data from its source, load it into my database, and only then begin the transformation process. It might sound a bit unconventional, but in practice, it's a strategy that's gaining traction. It streamlines the process, ensuring data integrity and efficiency from start to finish.

Choosing (if you have the luck to choose) a solution wisely means you have to understand the problem, the scale of it, the may future of the data, not just to the business side,but the scale of it's expansion. If you are new in the field, you have check the learning curve of the solutions, because sometimes learning even 2-4 no code tools can be faster than learning a language. And usually, when you choose a tool(set) it may decide the path for your future choces.

Planning is important, but find the balance between the plan and execution. And be flexible. Anything can happen which can ruin your plan. Maybe this version, you are not able to use a function, which you planned. The source system reacts in another way, than you expected, maybe somwhere in the middle, you find a better tool. Flexibility is more important than planning. But a good plan, can bring you results faster.

This is so true. Your first solution is tipically not the best one. Spend time, to revisit, your solution. You don't have to start from scratch, but everything can help. F.e.: better documentation, reorganise the files, maybe change some steps , or grouping them. You can play, with memory management. You can add maybe extra steps for clarity, you spend some time measuring space and time complexity, and try to figure out, the weak points, the bottle necks.
