The qualities listed are impressive but aspirational or downright unachievable in the absence of a solid track record of trust within the team. Trust is built slowly as people learn each other's strengths, hot buttons, preferences, non-negotiables, etc. And the leader who aspires to create this sophisticated team has the critical role of selecting individuals who lean in this direction and then working collaboratively together to build the basis for trust that will support a model of constructive conflict. The end result could be a far superior idea-generating, creative problem-solving team more readily given to tackling challenging issues with their diverse perspectives, open-mindedness, and absence of preconceived notions.

Constructive conflict can change the dynamic of a conversation and is not always pleasant, especially if you are the person with the opposing view to others in the discussion. While that might be uncomfortable at first, it causes others to think differently. Even if you do not have an opposing view, suggesting an opposing view, can foster new ideas and lead to something greater. It might also reinforce the direction that the group was already going in, but at least alternatives were explored before making the ultimate decision.
