is good to have a 3D printed mold die for initial assessment and innovation projects. this will also increase the flexibility of the design and fast changes if needed. with 3D printing, a lot of conventional manufacturing limitation will be reduced. a small scale of production also can be started with 3D printed mold as assessment before going to mass production mold.
