It is always wise to utilize data analytics platforms to establish metrics that are sensitive to regional usage patterns, enabling data-driven goals that resonate with local user behaviors. In addition to that, you should also include a feedback loop mechanism, where initial user responses can immediately inform slight adjustments to the prototype, aiming for a more agile and responsive testing phase.

Listen, observe, and figure out who is the actual audience to test your prototype with. For example, developing new grooming products to use at a bathroom sink in an cultural-economic reality where there is a personal grooming service (that does at-home grooming services) doesn't make sense. Figure out if your customer is the grooming service or whether you are going to teach folks they can groom "do it yourself", then you will invent a better prototype.

One thing I found helpful is to create a detailed segmented plan on how the testing is done. The segmentation is based on the culture and nuances. This can only be done if in the beginning of the Design process a clear persona mapping is done on the user. Communicating and understanding the culture and nuances at the beginning stages itself is so crucial. It will then be helpful in the process of testing the prototype.

This knowledge base would have integrated feedback loops from cross-cultural user testing to inform and educate our product team, ensuring learnings are systematically captured and accessible to the right people.
