Your brand shall have a consistent voice across all channels in all the elements. The brand name, Colors, font and tone.

Consistency is key. Seemingly small things like font, colors, images can have a lasting impression and leave the viewer, prospect, partner with something enduring.

People connect & relate to stories. Use storytelling to present the results in an engaging way. Don’t just display the outcome in Numbers. Share the starting point, problems and challenges of client, how you helped them overcome that and how, and how is your service helping them grow! Narrate the story!

Storytelling isn't just a skill, it is an emotion. And no wonder why everybody connects to that. Therefore, the best way to tailor your portfolio/website is to start with a story. I still remember when I made my first webinar, I started my copy with my story that had the pain point of my target audience that they could relate to. Here are 2 steps of how I tell my story: 1: Share my own story of how I solved the problem I faced. 2: Show proof of the results, with the help of metrics, testimonials, etc. (This is vital as it builds trust) On LinkedIn, you can make use of- Bio, featured section, experienced section and About section. The About Section can be the best place to get started with your story to easily attract your audience.

Social proofs are a sure shot way of convincing your prospects! Combination of case studies + testimonial of the same clients is unbeatable! - Testimonials from your clients show how your clients trusted you and how you delivered great results - Case studies where you show their overall growth Try this & see the magic!

Using LinkedIn’s Creator Mode is a great way to promote your portfolio as you can add specific items as “featured posts” and include media, documents, slide shows, articles, testimonials and other examples of your best work.

Actually, I disagree with solely relying on online channels for promotion. While digital platforms are powerful, combining them with offline strategies, like attending workshops or local networking events, can create a more holistic approach and reach a broader audience

Staying consistent is important. However, adaptability is equally key. For instance if long form videos have lost their mojo, then switching to smaller snippets is important. Constantly looking at data analytics to understand audience tastes and changing behavior is important. Finding NON-PAID advocates who can vouch for you and your work and do so authentically is a huge advantage.

Remember, your portfolio is a dynamic representation of your skills and personality, so regularly update it with new projects and achievements. Continuously refine and improve your portfolio based on feedback and evolving trends to make it stand out and impress your audience.

In my experience, you should define your brand statement first, it is the backbone of your work. Then you should add carefully selected works that link to your brand statement. A portfolio is a bridge between what you have done and what you want to do.
