As someone who dove headfirst into the dynamic waters of marketing without the safety net of formal education, I believe that learning something new isn't necessarily just a traditional classroom experience; it is a pursuit of knowledge and experience, even if your only classroom is the real world. In the early days at Buyceps, where I led a viral marketing campaign that redefined our ROI benchmarks, the importance of setting precise, achievable goals became crystal clear. So, for anyone diving into learning anything new, I would suggest from experience: that your learning path might be unique, but the principles of setting clear, targeted goals remain universally vital.

Demonstrate commitment to learning new skills by consistently setting goals, allocating dedicated time for learning, seeking feedback, and adapting your approach based on lessons learned. What I've found useful in the quest to learn skills is to always have an innate desire to learn something new. It doesn't always have to be an in-depth, twenty class course, most of the time it can start off as a youtube video. For example, a video explaining the concept of font kerning can lead down a rabbit hole of font trends, illustrator tips and tricks, and any other topics related to typography. The more interested you get in a topic, the deeper you go down the rabbit hole. If you really have an interest, then you can follow up with paid courses and explore learning or working with experts. But without that innate desire to learn something new, it will be difficult to acquire learning goals.

Getting feedbacks from other colleges, is a sign that they're thinks you can get BETTER. So why not take a long consideration on opinions that make sense and develop new skills that you need for getting a better go at the Job? Also, I think Active listening help all of us to get Wiser and make more Visionary decisions.

Seeking feedback from experienced people is one of the ways to learn better. Although, constructive criticism may not sound all that good, but always serves as a guide to correct you on what you're doing wrongly and do better what is right. And the best way to get feedback is to seek it from experienced people who are familiar with the learning process and can guide you through.

I can't emphasize enough how invaluable it is to ask for feedback. Make it a habit especially if your colleague or stakeholder doesn't approach you first because you will never know how you did if you don't ask. To make the most out of feedback, remember to take notes so that you know what to take action on next. This practice will take you far in developing your hard AND soft skills.

Learning is not a one way street. There is always a need to submit to the mentorship of people who have advanced knowledge in the skill you want to learn. Mentorship will save you from making predictable mistakes.

Passender w?re eine ?Fail fast“-Einstellung, in deren Rahmen man kleine, durchdachte Experimente wagen kann und wenn man scheitert, lernt man daraus.

If applying your learnings involve you to sacrifice too much of time, money or energy - You wont do it. See what is achievable easily without any cost attached to it. It is more likely that you will implement small changes than big ones.

Applying what you learn must be the most critical step you can take to show commitment to learning new skills and ensure that you get maximum value out of the time and effort you put into the learning. Now this is the time to implement! This is why I always pick skills that I believe I need to build ASAP or will require in the near future.

You'll have to apply each & every part of your new learnings to your workplace to ensure it doesn't go wasted. & The new things you apply to your work will not only improve your performance in workplace but also will help you to identify where you need to focus more to master the skill! & always remember to measure the progress & improvements that are both directly & indirectly caused by your implementation of your new skill. another thing to remember, always let your boss & colleagues know about the improvements. & do not forget to email the progress via email to your direct line manager & to your boss. ;)

This is my favorite way to create content. I love to share things that I learn through how-to videos. In my how-to videos, I use Zoom or Streamyard to livestream the information and let the audience ask their questions in real time. Writing blog articles is another way I share my learning. This way, I can add the content to my classes or on social media while sharing with an audience or industry. Doing presentations to a live and virtual audience is also a great way I share what I learned. This is a great way to show your teaching style and build credibility as well.

Here at LinkedIn Learning, 'Share your learning' takes on an even more concrete meaning: Upon completing a course, not only are the acquired skills, knowledge, and any certificates instantly integrated into your personal profile, but you also have the opportunity to share the completed course with your contacts for FREE for a period of time. I find this opportunity fantastic! ????

Teaching is a highly effective way to consolidate your learning and further deepen your knowledge of the subject matter. So the next time you acquire a useful skill, share that news with colleagues with an open offer to support them with their learning if there is interest.

Once you have learned any specific skill try and find people on social media who are teaching or living this skill in their day to day life. Follow their Instagram and LinkedIn handles, this way whenever you come online your skill will be reiterated in the form of social media consumption and reinforce your skill.
