So when I started working where I’m at now, they had a Terminal Server for remote/field employees to use that was just open to access anywhere with an internet connection. But since RDP is vulnerable this was not a smart idea. What we did was one, changed the default ports for RDP, then made it only accessible while on our actual network. So now everyone needs to enable a VPN before they can even access the machine.
